About this website and its creator

babien.co was created by and is maintained by Michael Babienco, the former Lead Programmer/Analyst for Southern Adventist University's CIRC program. Michael recently got back from serving as a programmer, IT director, and teacher for a small school in rural Cambodia. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in computer science and a Master's degree in computer science, which were earned at Southern Adventist University in 2015. In case you want to read his Master's Defense paper entitled "Design and Implementation of Multi-head Presentation Software for the iOS Platform," you may do so here. Michael has several years of experience developing iOS and Android apps, C# WPF and macOS applications, PHP/C# MVC websites, and various other types of software.

In his spare time back in the states, Michael is an avid trombone player and regularly plays with the university orchestra and wind symphony as well as a newly formed community brass group. He is interested in doing voice over or radio work, particularly for audiobooks, if he ever gets the chance.

If you're curious about how this website was built, it uses Bootstrap 3.3 for the website base, the Bootswatch Paper theme for a Bootstrap theme, and Font Awesome for icons here and there. The blog system uses Markdown behind the scenes along with the SimpleMDE - Markdown Editor for editing posts. reCAPTCHA is on the login page to stop evil robots. Everything else, including the website routing system, blog management system, etc. was built by hand by Michael Babienco unless otherwise noted.
